Admission to St Andrew's CE Primary School

We are sorry but our usual Information Evening for Admission to Reception 2021 cannot go ahead due to Covid restrictions. Please keep an eye on the website for exciting on-line information and events! However, if restrictions allow in December we may be able to offer a limited number of visits to the school for new parents only. Please check this website for updates and in the meantime visit the "New Families" page.

We are a Church of England school and, as such, we agree our own admissions criteria and manage our own waiting list.  Our Published Admissions Number (PAN) for 2021 is 90 - 45 Foundation places (which require Church attendance) and 45 Community places (allocated by distance). Siblings are given priority within each criteria.

Please note that our new Admissions Criteria will apply for all applications to start school from September 2021.

Applications for a Foundation Place (if you attend Church) for September 2021 onwards

If you are applying for a Foundation place at our school under criteria 3 or 4 you must also complete our Supplementary Information and Church Reference Form.  Please read the Governors' oversubscription criteria and additional notes carefully and decide which number on the criteria applies to your application.  Please note that the requirement for church attendance has been amended (and approved by the Office of the Schools Adjudicator) due to the Covid-19 pandemic: church attendance will only apply to the period when the church or relevant place of worship or alternative premises have been available for public worship.

USEFUL DATES FOR RECEPTION 2021: Closing date - 15th January 2021.  National Offer Day - 16th April 2021

What happens if you apply late?  It is less likely that you will be offered a place at one of your preferred schools and you may have to wait to get an offer after National Offer Day. If there is a good reason why the school application is late, we will consider it as on time if we receive it by 8th March. You must provide independent supporting evidence of the good reason, or your application will be treated as late.

In-year Applications (for entry before September 2021)

We are currently full in all year groups excluding years 3 and 4. If you would like to apply or to be placed on our waiting list please complete our Supplementary Information Form for 2020/21 below and it is also essential to apply to Brighton and Hove School Admissions.  The Over-subscription criteria for 2020/21 will apply.
